I have had Sweet Medicine on repeat for over an hour now...This arrangement is so beautiful.....cant get enuf-...Is there a shot for Jasons songs? They just rattle around my head and refuse to leave....maybe I need some sweet sweet medicine...
would anyone mind sending it to me by e-mail? i'll private message it. if it were up to me, i would've pre-ordered jason's cd a lonnggg time ago. but i'm canadian, and for some reason i cant purchase it, which angers me so much. so if anyone could send it, i'd reaaallllyyy appreciate it !!
I preordered at the mall too, but no email notices regarding the download....it's 11/23 and still waiting.....waiting.... More importantly, I wanted to get the notice when Jason's album comes out in January...since my copy doesn't have any code inside where it says it should.
I have to agree with you on the arrangement and his voice on the track. He sounds like an angel, (more so than usual, haha). But, I'm not so sure I agree with you on his decision to change the lyrics. I'm kind of on the fence about that, actually. I love the original version, but the studio version is very beautiful and genuine too. I'll have to listen to it a few more times and make my mind. :-)
I knew I'd love Sweet Medicine because I love Jason's voice no matter what he sings. But I'm blown away by this beautifully arranged recording. The words and melody choke me up no matter how many times I listen. It's hard to believe that it didn't make the basic album - but that's ok, we still have it.

Jason is always full of surprises! This is such a beautiful and heartfelt arrangement. The electric guitar, piano, his vocals. WOW. This is pure awesome.
I'm just so blown away at how beautiful this bonus track of "Sweet Medicine" is... it's absolutely amazing.. Jason's voice...the arrangement with keyboard and strings..even.....just beautiful...I can't even imagine what the rest of the CD will be like... and Jason ...you want us to feel...to grab us by the soul...and you have...
i think it's beautiful. The words and his voice definitely have a power to them that project the right mood.

So happy for all the versions of SM, but this turned out great! So happy to hear Jason's beautiful voice in the front of the music....just beautiful!

I feel the same way, someday. that was a really special moment, when he shared that song with us.
I like the very first version he played for us behind the red veil the best. But, this version is very, very beautiful.
