So Jason was scheduled to have a show at Ayala Center Cebu last night, March 20, 2010, at 830pm. Hours before the show, he went around the mall to shop. Some common friends said he was so humble; he acted like there were no screaming girls trailing him. Mybuddy and I looked for him but we just could not spot him. Poor me. But things went better later on :)
An hour before the show started, my friends and I were already seated at the venue. I was worried that it would rain, but thank God nature was on our side. (Although I swore that I would not be going anywhere even if it poured acid rain.

Later on, the lights were dimmed and there came Jason Castro rocking his dreads with his guitar.The audience was screaming and loving and dying for him! Girls, ladies, women, ( and even men maybe?) showed their love for Jason. I loved the crowd last night. Everyone was enjoying every minute of the show, I just loved it :)
The show lasted for about 45mins. He sang, if I'm not mistaken, around 7 songs. Including his single Let's just fall in love again and 2 of his best performances in Idol, Somewhere over the rainbow and Hallelujah for the finish. Some girls printed out his audition number with the AI logo, I thought that was cute:)
* I was also observing his wife, Mandy, while the show was ongoing. She was seated near Jason's tent, singing along to his songs and taking pictures/videos of him. aww, they are so adorable :)
45minutes later, the show has ended. But I was even more excited because it was meet and greet time. I fell in line and waited anxiously. When it was my turn, I gave him my biggest hug and asked if I could take a picture with Mandy but he dint know where she was that time :)
Now I'm gonna have to wait for 10 days to claim our photo from the official photographer of the mall. I cant wait to use it as my primary picture here and in facebook and in twitter and everywhere!:)
After the meet and greet came the CD-signing session. The guard reminded me that I could only let him sign the Cd- probably because he saw me bringing another paper. The conversation went like this :
Me: Jason, can you please sign my dollar instead?
Jason: Instead? No that's okay, I'll sign both :)
AWW HE IS THE SWEETEST!!!!<3 * that other autograph in red is from the Philippine's very own Anne Curtis :)*
He really is such a great person. Very handsome, very talented, very layed back; I wish I could find a guy like him someday.
So my Jason-and-I moment was over, it happened so fast! We exited the venue and, guess who we bumped into. Stephen Kanicka! *click click, "thanks for the picture, steven". aw, lucky us!:)
Truly, I will remember this night for the rest of my life.
Your fans/friends in the Philippines, and Asia, are looking forward to meeting you again, Jason.

I was really early at the Marriott Hotel to chaperon two of my friends and stayed there until around 10am when I left to check the Terraces. We needed the rain alright [esp with El Niño hangin' around] but it poured only in the morning. I watched the wet stage and the chairs but I didn't worry. It's really eerie that everything within that day [and night] seemed pre-ordained.
yeah, bless those angels. I'll start a discussion like this once the official photo is out!
yeah, it was really awesome :) my sister told me to bring an umbrella, but i didn't want to. I'd stay in the terraces, rain or not! xD I was worried that it would rain, but thankfully, it didn't :)
wow..all i can say is..that day was really full of blessings...full of good things.. it didn't rain right? it was a blessing..coz ealier that morning it was raining and earlier that afternoon too..but that nigh the clouds were clear..
man, you girls are very lucky. . .makes me wanna share my story, too! lol
i'll say it briefly:
good thing I didn't go home after my appointment [Prayer Conference at CICC] in Cebu, good thing I went to Ayala with my friends the day before the concert or else I wouldn't know anything about it, good thing I didn't lose hope in meeting him when I wasn't able to get an entrance pass, good thing there were three foreign girls who gave me their meet-&-greet stub, good thing I begged for the staff to allow me get his autograph without a CD-signing-stub. . .It happened so fast that it felt so unreal! I feel like God is spoiling me. d:']
@itsmina haha..nice story..good for you you were a group.. it was only me and my cousin who went to the concert.. i also gave jason my drawing and doll which i made only for him during the meet and greet,. first we came to him very excited and i hugged him and he said "Hi, how are you" and i only smiled coz i was really starstrucked..i just said jason could you hold this for picture taking, and then he posed but i'm not yet ready when the photographer took the picture..i don't know how i looked on that picture but there were two them and i waited for the other photographer so i posed again with jason and luckily the other photographer took our picture.. then i shook jason's hand... =))
So it was time for the Meet and Greet, and as my friends and I were lining up [we were seven], we were rehearsing what to say! Hahaha, lame, but yeah. So my friends told me that I should be the one to talk to him, cos theyd chicken out and just be starstruck. Duh! Who wouldnt?!?? Its Jason Frikkin Castro. Mhmm. I told them. Haha, I explained that it would be a waste not to talk to Jason! I told them to not pass up the opportunity, but yeah, they said theyd be too starstruck.
We were next in line for the group picture, and Mr. Rene Castro was there to usher us, and told us not to run! Haha, I didnt know he was Jasons dad, I just knew that he had nice eyes [like his son. OMG! Why didnt I think of that!!!!] So we heeded what the kind man said and walked fast to Jason.
I said Hi! and hugged him in his left side. Smooth. xD He was sweaty, but I didnt mind. Duh, he just performed. Haha. So after the picture was taken, I gave him the bracelets that Ninin and I made. So the conversation went like this:
Me: Hey, Jason! We made these for you :) *gives bracelets*
Jason: Wow, thank you! :)
Me: Yeah, Hehe :> *walks away*
Im so smooth, gah. //sarcasm
Anyway, so Ninin and I both lined up for the CD signing, and the rest of the gang headed out, cos they didnt have CDs. Again, I was rehearsing xD I was supposed to say this 3-sentenced statement: Hey Jason! We jsut want to thank you for coming to Cebu cos it means a lot to us. We hope that you like the bracelets that we made for you! Hope youll wear it to a music video. *smile* :) DING! We had a plan!!
But when it actually came to the moment, the conversation went like this:
Jason: Hey! :)
Me: Hey Jason, thanks for coming! *pause :|* Oh! We hope you like the bracelets that we made for you :D
Jason: Yeah! Thanks for that :D I like your braids! *looks at my braids and smiles*
Me: *taken aback. wasnt expecting that!* Oh, hehe, thanks! :D *walks away*
HE COMPLIMENTED ME ON MY BRAIDS :D That was so magical. HAHA!
AI7 was the best season ever! And my whole family agrees to that!
Yeah, I was really hoping that Jason would have time to visit the beaches. But no :[ Oh well, the next time he comes here, he better have time to enjoy the whole trip! Hahaha :)
What an awesome experience for you! I do hope Jas' gets to visit the PI's beautiful beaches. He was also treated to Filipino's finest hospitality...while the girls are screaming..ha ha! Great job kababayans!!

Hahaha we weren't even sure if that was actually rene. all we knew was rene was with him but we weren't that familiar with how papa castro looked. We tried calling him again and again, and he looked back and said hi with a look of astonishment in his eyes. he probably ddin't think anyone recognized him. Mandy though was so sweet. she kept taking pictures of our signs and she wanted to come to our side during the concert when we asked her to come but the guards didn't allow her :(
@mary rose i even thot the girl wearing all black was Mandy! lols took me awhile to correct myself. O_o yes, we love the Castro's because they love us back. xD
