    Hi Kelly, if you hold down the alt button & press a number at the same time you get the symbol. They're called keyboard shortcuts, you can Google them. alt + 1 = ☺, alt + 3 = ♥, etc;

    P.S. I've been reading Dare to Discipline, I have 2 boys, 3 & 5... *sigh*.. Lol!
