Christmas miracle for Megan with Jason Castro

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. --

American Idol is nine-year-old Megan Phalen's favorite show. She's only missed "maybe two or three episodes" ever and who's her favorite Idol? "I'm going to have to say the one I like is Jason Castro," grinned the nine-year-old.

So, the radio station 98.9 Magic FM reached out to one of its friends, American Idol's Jason Castro, for some help. Castro was a finalist in Season 7 of the popular FOX television show. He's immediately recognizable due to his long dreadlocks hairstyle and his piercing blue eyes.

Castro has generously agreed to come to Colorado Springs and perform a benefit concert for Megan Wednesday. "I thought it was going to be really cool because it's the first famous person I'm going to meet," said Megan.

    She is so precious, and I agree that it was so awesome of him to take out the time and do something special like that for her. I know she will just never forget that moment, having him serenading her and just being able to experience something so fun like that. I can only imagine what it's like to be able to hang with someone you've only dreampt of meeting lol. She deserves it and may Jesus Christ continue to bless her and her family. He has brought her and her family so far already, and he isn't going to leave them now. ;o)

    It was a fabulous concert! Me and my friends LUVED IT! thats so cool that he took the time to come all the way out here to do something like that. We got there and the music was blasting (with a DJ!) and danced in the middle of the floor for a while...then some people talked about Megan and her family and sang! BUT im sure you can imagine how excited we were when Jason came onstage.We bought a 20$ photo of him to get autographed and got this picture (on my profile) of him! SO MUCH FUN and a night to remember!
