Jason Castro Discussion

The Friday night show at Schubas was a blast! Thanks to our street team members and the local radio/music-loving community for getting the word out online and everywhere else. I’d also love to thank sunshine and Laurel, our Chicago Street Prop market rep, for working side-by-side with me in distributing materials to make sure that this show sold out in advance. As we all know, perception is everything in the world of entertainment, and nothing looks better—and more fun—than a packed room full of people enjoying the concert. This may have been the best I have heard Jason sound; arguably, I say that each time I hear him perform, so he’s obviously getting better and better. New fans and old ones alike shifted (so to speak) toward Jason and his merchandise after Jason’s performance was over, sending a clear message that not only were they there to see him, but they wanted to see more. Bravo, Jason, and way to be so approachable to your fan base!

I didn’t speak long with Jason (I don’t tend to), but he thought I was one of his friends from back home and wondered what I was doing in Chicago. We have decided that I have a doppelganger. This may explain why I always look familiar to him even though I rarely see him. I should probably stop using a nonchalant, “Hey, dude, how’s it going?” as my default greeting. Hilarious. I just have one of those familiar faces, though; it happens to me everywhere I go.

What...a...BLAST!!!

Are you coming in from the burbs? If you can get to the brown line and get off at Belmont...then it's just about a half mile or so west to the venue. Easy. Parking in the city in that area is a nightmare.

Did you find a hotel yet?

hey sunshine!! i'm coming! i am so freaking excited!! can you give me a run down on parking,would train be easier? and how bout hotels? thank you sunshine!! i'm totally tripping about seeing jason. last time was at gurnie mills mall. feels so long ago!!
