For me, it was when Jason sang Daydream on the top 24 show. I hadn't watched Idol at all that season and as I was passing through the living room cleaning up, I heard this incredible voice, the likes of which I had never heard before. It was pure and joyous. So, I was hooked. With every show, he got better and better and carried on with such grace and an infectious love of life. I'm so glad I decided to clean that night.

On AI, the moment I saw him I was intrigued.... and when I heard him sing I wanted to hear more and then it got to AHHH THIS KID HAS TO WIN!!!! I started voting non stop and asking everyone I knew and strangers to vote as well!!!! It was great fun watching his career begin BUT
when I saw him on I AM SECOND I realized just how beautiful this person is and deserves success and happiness and I will help in anyway to make that happen!!! I always say Jason put music BACK into my heart.... thanks for that Jason!

I had watched Jason on AI and I fell in love with his performance of Hallelujah. It was just so pure and beautiful which I think describes him. After that I never really listened to him, but when his first cd came out is when he stole my heart. Just early this year I found out that he sings Christian music, which was a HUGE deal for me. Jesus is my one and only so when I found out that he was going to be at a Christian Music Festival that my youth group is going to in 2 weeks, I was freaking out! Now all I listen to is him and Christian music.

Has to have been Daydream. I never get into the AI competition and that was the first and only time i happened to turn on the tv and hear anyone I cared to see win it. I don't usually care about any competition because I hurt for those who lose...silly, yes. But then THIS guy sang! I had him as the winner hands down! I wish I could say I watched carefully the whole season but I didn't and I even lost track of finding out where he placed and I really wanted to find out what happened to the kid I knew I'd remember named Jason because it's my husband's name. Sooo thrilled when at Winterjam I found him! :D It was amazing! Almost..a God thing somehow. I took my kids and some of their friends to both the Evansville IN performance and the Peoria, IL performance and everyone of us agreed Jason Castro was our surprise favorite... of course we loooved every performer and pastor there as well! We are hoping he is back with Winterjam next year with even more music.

I ditto deborah77....it was when he san Daydream on the top 24 show. He had me at "What a day...." It was my first season watching Idol, so I am convinced I was meant to see him and become a fan. Since then I have watched Idol occasionally but have never voted for anyone again. He was so unique in his sincerity and innocence, how could you not delight in him?

I have loved and enjoyed Jason's music since I watched his audition on American Idol. I have all his music from the iTune's from Idol to all of his albume. Can't wait for more albums to come out. I love the fact that he stays true to his style. I will always be a big fan. Keep it going Jason we love you.
