Jason, I just got home from work, and had a nice surprise - my 2010 calendar of guess who - YOU! Love it, Love it, Love it. Thanks so much for being you - your calendar is beautiful, and I will treasure it. Also, wanted to tell you that your note on Thanksgiving was really thoughtful and very much appreciated by your fans. It's nice that you take the time. Can't wait for the album! God Bless.

How do I make this brief? hmmm Just got home from a wonderful Thanksgiving mini vacation with my husband & kids. Each year at this time we go to Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood for 4 days. It makes me so thankful for the time we have together skiing/snowboarding, playing games, watching movies, playing in the snow, laughing & of course driving each other nuts at times. haha I love them so much. I am also thankful for my HUGE family, most of which live back in the Midwest, my wonderful friends, my warm home & as corny as it sounds, my health. Speaking of friends, many of those I have made through you & your music. You may never fully realize how you touch people with your quirky personality or your heartfelt music. The friendships that have resulted all across the U.S. & the world for that matter (Helena-Sweden that means you) are truly special. I am thankful that you took that brave step to put yourself out there on national tv. You remind me to enjoy life as well as to be respectful. Thanks Jason. Here's to an incredibly successful debut album. I pre-ordered it of course : )

Jason, thanks for sharing your thoughtful, joyful, heartfelt Thanksgiving blog with all of us! Your words show the true spirit of Thanksgiving. "theres no where else id rather be!" That's awesome. I'm thankful that I got to spend Thanksgiving with my family, & that they are in relatively good health now, & that we all made it through another year together! And I'm thankful that I decided to watch Idol the first night you sang "Daydream" - you & your music, & the community of your fans have enhanced this life for me. So thankful I got to see you last year on the AI tour, this year in Albany & White Plains, NY - & that I'll get to see you in NYC in January! And that your CD release is just a month away! :) Like you said, SO THANKFUL! :)
    Peace & Love,
    ~ LindaRas

Jason, you have been my main guitar teacher this past year! I've finally, with the inspiration of your own story of teaching yourself, on my way to becoming the musician I've always wanted to be. I've watched your videos and figured out how to play your songs (plus a few of my own and other's) and the progress has been really gratifying. So, a big THANK YOU for jump starting this musical journey of mine and for the joy you have brought to my life, both from the music and the fans. XOXO and much happiness to you and yours!

Thank you Jason for appreciating your fans. We do work hard for you and support your music, but you give us so much in return. You are a genuine and down to earth person, unchanged by fame and exposure. You have stayed true to yourself and your values and I admire you so much for that. Your voice has matured and become more beautiful every time I hear you. I was so thrilled you remembered me when I saw you in Memphis after not seeing me for a whole year. It made me feel so special but you make us all feel that way because you truly love us too. Thank you for sharing your life and your family with us. I am so thankful for my family and my new friends I have made from following you. I am thankful you are getting to spend much needed time with your family this Thanksgiving. Family IS everything ! I will be in Columbus for the Jingle Ball and at Fat Eddie's Bar in Columbus in Feb. Thanks for coming to Ohio. We are thankful!

Even if we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Sweden, of course I have many things that I am grateful for. Family, friends, health... the things that of course matter the most to me.
And I am also grateful for hearing that beautiful voice of yours singing "Hallelujah that first time", not so long ago (but still feels like it's been ages). That was my first encounter with you and your music, and since then much has happened. You've shared a lot of wonderful things, even very personal things, with us all. You've shared lots of beautiful music, amazing performances, funny and pretty photos from your everyday life. Thank you! I am also thankful for the fact that from "meeting" you, I have also met loads of new, wonderful friends from all over this world. You have brought a whole lot of different people together into a great friendship! SO THANKFUL!

Thank you Jason for sharing your "Thanks" to us all...So I feel the need to share mine...Everyday I wake up as a mother of two YOUNG boys and I don't always see the gratitude I SHOULD have for them and this life. My youngest son was put on & ECMO Machine when he was born (they only have a 10% chance of survival on ECMO) but he lived, and perfectly healthy, except for severe asthma and chronic lung disease, BUT that's nothing compared to what I was told, which was that he would die. He came home on an NG Tube, a type of feeding tube I had to change through his nose that reached to his stomach. I was able to take it out at age 1. He is 8 1/2 yrs old now and I took him to see you on the American Idol Tour in Indianapolis in July of 2008. My next son was born premature at 30 weeks and his lungs were severely underdeveloped. He spent 3 months in the NebornIntensiveCareUnit (NICU), and was able to come home after that on a lung and heart monitor. He is in Kindergarten this year! The Lord can work to get closer to us in ways that we do not understand. Trust in the Lord and He will guide you.... YOU have such an amazing family, from what we see! Your parents have done a thankless job to the BEST of their ability and I praise them for raising you, Jackie, & Michael with a love for our God, and a love for your family. As a parent I couldn't ask for any more than that.
Since we saw you on A.I. our lives were never the same. Your family has let us know them, share intimate moments with them, and you've let us share as many moments as possible with you on the journey to your 1st album release! What a blessing to devoted fans...Castros, you are accepted by us the way that you are; even if & when changes occur, we will always love you. Our hearts are open and ready for your ups AND downs and we wish you all the best life has to offer. I am forever grateful for you and your music and can't wait to see what happens next!!
    Peace & Love-God Bless, Michelle n Indpls.

My amazing family keeps getting bigger and bigger and we are surrounded with love. They've just left but most of the house is cleaned up already. Tomorrow I will wake up early and put on those new MP3 I have of my favoirite artist Jason Castro singing Christmas music and again I will count my bleassings. Daily. Jason we really do count you as a blessing, for enriching our lifes and taking us along on this wonderful journey. You are so gifted in many ways and have a wonderful knack for saying and doing the right thing. But then one thing all your fans do know.... That's What You're Here For. :-)
